NAC Alumni come from primarily low- income households. Alumni often lack the financial support from their families to help them while they are in college. Therefore, the NAC’s College Success Service Department (C.S.S.) provides financial assistance to NAC Alumni through stipends. NAC Alumni have the opportunity to apply to the NAC scholarship, which helps reduce the total cost of attendance. The NAC scholarship must be submitted yearly. In addition, NAC Alumni who decide to live on-campus receive dorm supplies such as bedding. For NAC Alumni who have chosen to attend colleges in locations with severe winter conditions CSS provides them with stipends to purchase winter coats and snow boots.
