Alfonso Ortega : Humboldt State University
After high school I plan to attend Humboldt State University for two years and then transfer to UCI or Pepperdine. I am still undecided about my major, but I’m considering Photography. I am very optimistic, creative and hardworking. During high school I was involved in water polo, swimming, choir, musical theatre, the Nicholas Academic Center (NAC), the Green Club and Key Club. I would like to thank my parents for being patient with me and making space in their busy schedule to drive me to school and school performances, my friends for picking me up and putting me back together whenever I fell down, and the NAC for helping me with my school work and for being there whenever I felt overwhelmed. My words of wisdom I would like to share with the NAC Class of 2012 are to not slack off because once you fall it’s not easy to get back on track.
