Genesis Luviano : Smith College
It is impressive, but not surprising, to consider the number of acceptance letters Genesis received from colleges across the country, including Mills College, Haverford College, UC Berkeley, Goucher College, Juniata College, Allegheny College, Hiram College, and UCLA. She is ranked within the top one percentile of Valley High School’s 2010 graduating class and on her way to Smith College, where she will pursue her dream of becoming an educator. Genesis wants to show her parents, in particular, her mother, that their hard work was not in vain. “I want to make my mom proud of me,” Genesis says when she talks about her motivation. “My mom has always wanted the best for me and expects me to try my best.”
