Jose Contreras

Few students can compare to the greatness that Jose radiates. He is humble, caring, and hardworking. He has conquered a learning impediment and with his academic and extracurricular achievements, was a named as a finalist for the Heid Scholarship. While being interviewed for Heid’s full ride scholarship, Jose asked the committee that if the decision came to be between him and a fellow NAC student, they should choose his fellow classmate. Jose did not receive the Heid Scholarship, however, he did receive a job offer from the Heid Foundation, which he will start this summer. Jose is thankful to God, his family, and the Nicholas Academic Center for helping him get closer to his future.
