Mara Aburto : Santa Ana College
Mara Aburto was one of the first students to set foot at the Nicholas Academic Center. A year and a half later, Mara is excited to be moving on to Santa Ana Community College. Her goal is to transfer into a California State University where she can work towards becoming a Registered Nurse. Mara appears shy at first glance, but in reality hides a wonderfully warm personality that holds a quiet strength and intellect. While in school she ran track as well as volunteered at a local elementary as a tutor. Ms. Mara feels blessed to have found ‘helpful, friendly, and fun” individuals at the Nicholas Academic Center. She plans to continue attending the center while enrolled at Santa Ana College.
