Maria Prado

I have had many obstacles learning a new language, but I never give up. I learned to be a hardworking person and to reach my goals as well. I became a member of ASB this year, and I am very grateful because thanks to them, I learned to be a leader and not a follower. I also formed part of the program “Big Brothers Big Sisters” where I learned a way to help the community. My greatest reward this year was being accepted to the University of California, Riverside, where I will be attending in the fall. I owe all these achievements to my parents, who always supported me in achieving my goals, to my counselor, Ms. Garcia, who led me to fulfill my dreams, and to all NAC tutors and staff, who helped me with my English struggles and homework as well. Thank you all very much.
