Mariana Hernandez : Georgetown University
Passionate and insightful are a few words that describe Mariana. She is the Class of 2010 Valedictorian of Santa Ana High School. While in school she was actively involved in an extensive list of clubs like the MESA Club, the Freshmen Mentor Program, California Scholastic Federation, Go Green Club, Youth and Government, and the Mui Alpha Theta Society. Mariana is the recipient of the Community Scholar Scholarship, a full ride scholarship to Georgetown University. Mariana would like to thank her mother for inspiring and encouraging her to follow her dreams. She would also like to to thank Mr. Gerry Oxx, her family, and the NAC for supporting her. She plans to study International Political Economy, and hopes to one day become a social activist in her community.
