One of NAC’s goal is to have its students continue their educations and graduate from college. In order to meet this goal, our College Success staff works in tandem with college admission representatives, school counselors, and with students to identify the best schools that match the students’ individual profiles.Through NAC’s efforts, colleges from across the country, such as Georgetown, Haverford, Wabash, Allegheny, Morningside, Hampshire, Colgate, and many others, come to Southern California to meet NAC students. These meetings and presentations lead NAC students to apply to colleges they would not have otherwise considered in their college search. Our students are accepted into some of the most competitive private and public colleges in the country.
Our College Success Coordinators also directs students towards scholarship sources in order to help cover the cost of a college education. Students have access to our Scholarship Notebook with listings for numerous scholarships available. With guidance from our Director of College Success and Alumni Services, NAC students have received over $2 million in scholarships, awards, and grants over the last 3 years.
From explaining the college application process, to the college selection journey, to drafting a plan to finance college, to navigating the college years, and through graduation, the NAC’s department works with students to assure they succeed in attaining their higher education aspirations. As a result, NAC has over 100 alumni enrolled in institutions of higher learning across the nation.
